Meet Anand

Anand is a very smart young man here. He very much wanted to call some of my friends and family from my phone and meet them and practice his english, which he doesn't need, but sadly I couldn't let him use my phone since I can't even use my phone here. But... I did take the opportunity to let him make the brief video (below) to tell about himself and also ask you a few questions.

Please watch the video, let him introduce himself to you, and then take the time to answer his questions in the comments here. If you can't understand the questions due to his fast speech, I believe they are: hobby, live, name.

He is eager to hear the answers and meet some people from the United States so please please please reply here. I told him my friends and family would love to meet him and we would have replies. If you'd like to tell him a little more than just the answers to the three questions I'm sure he'd love that, like perhaps how adorable he is, that'll get him blushing and that would be perfect! Thanks so much!

  1. Hi Anand,
My name is Virginia, I am Terry's mother. It is nice to meet you. I'm glad to hear that you desire to be a doctor and pastor. Both are very important jobs. I pray that you'll be man God wants you to be. You are a very hansome young man. You look a little like Terry's cousin, Gavin. I've got to go now. You take care and tell Terry his mom loves him.
    God Bless,
    Virginia

  2. Hey Anand!
My name is Stephanie. I go to church with Terry. I have a 16 year old daughter named Mallory, a 9 year old son named Clay and a 5 year old son named Nolan. Mallory is in high school and went on a mission trip to London, England over the summer. She feels that God is calling her to missions after college. Clay has said he would like to be a policeman, a fire fighter, or a soldier. Nolan wants to play drums in a band. How wonderful that you want to be a doctor and a pastor! Both of those jobs require a heart of compassion and a love for people - which I see you already have! :-) I work part time at our church daycare. I work with the babies! It makes me a little sad that my children are growing up so fast and yet it makes me excited too because I know that God has a wonderful plan for their lives. Just like He does for you too! My husband Scott works doing physical therapy. He loves to help people get stronger and feel better. We have been married for 20 years. We live close to both our parents. We have a black dog named Zoie. I have trained her to do tricks. She can sit, roll over, shake(paw), high five, and crawl on her belly. Do you have any pets?

It is chilly here tonight. We had a fire in our fireplace. The boys roasted marshmallows. We are having a small birthday party for Mallory tomorrow. She turns 17 on Sunday. She wants a chocolate cake. Do you like cake? What is your favorite kind? I would love to know more about you and your family. I'm sure they are proud of what a handsome and friendly young man you are! If you wish to know more, please ask! There are photos of me and my family on my blog page if you are able to see them. Sending big hugs your way!

    Blessings in Christ,
    Stephanie

  3. Hi, Anand.

It is nice to meet you. I am from Tulsa, Oklahoma. I am married (25 years) and we have two teenage boys (14 and 16). We met Terry this year when he was a guest in our home spending his weekend with several teenage boys.

My youngest son and I went fishing yesterday with my parents. We did not catch one (you could probably help us there) and the lid came off of the minnow bucket, so all of the bait swam away! But, it was a beautiful day on the lake.

My oldest son is playing in a soccer tournament this weekend. Do you play soccer?

Have you met Roger? He is our boys' youth pastor and he is a crazy guy. (You probably already know this if you have spent any time with him. :))

I am so excited that you want to be a doctor and a pastor. I can see that you have the personality and desire to be successful in whatever path God leads you to.

Many of us are praying for you and will continue to do so. Thanks for touching our lives and those around you.

The picture is one of our sons, Chris and James with Roger this summer on a mission trip in Chicago.

    God bless you,
    Teresa

  4. Hi Anand,
My name is Klysta and I am Virginia's daughter. I am 8 years old and my hobbies are garage saling with my grandma and going to church. I'm glad you want to be a pastor. I like pastors, I hug Pastor Jack every time I see him. I hope you have fun with Terry while he's there. You do look a little like my brother Gavin. I will be praying for you.
    Your new friend,
    Klysta

  5. Hi Anand...Your English is AMAZING...and you're SO cute!

I live in Dewey and help with the youth at the church Terry is Youth Pastor at. I love working with the kids here...they are wonderful.

My husband and I have two teenagers...Casey, our son will be 18 in about a month...Shelby, our daughter will be 14 in January. Casey plays Baseball and he's a drummer. Shelby plays Softball, Basketball, and she's also a drummer. I guess my hobby would have to be watching my kids do all they things they do and supporting them along the way.

I'm very impressed that you want to work hard to become a Doctor or a Pastor. I am praying that God will guide you and bless you along your path. Maybe someday we can meet you also!

Make sure Terry treats you okay...don't let him tickle you!!!

    Melinda
